Taiwanese-American Student Association at the University of Maryland, College Park is hosting a Night Market event this Saturday, April 7th (7pm ~10pm).  Please check the link here for details.

The Li-Ming Chinese Academy (LMCA) has started accepting new and transfer student applications. If you have a child above age 3 and is ready for 2018-2019 school year enrollment, please contact LMCA Curriculum & Instruction Division for admission application forms. LMCA will hold an admission information session on 4/29 The parents of new students are required to attend this information meeting before they submit their admission request (postmarked no later than 5/27). Please share the LMCA short films edited by Yi-Hsin Yan (LMCA Short Film) with your friends and families and check the LMCA website.  Please contact Ms. Janey Hsiao at 301-670-0956 (9 am and 8 pm) for more information or questions.

Chinese schools’ Field Day will be held on 5/6 at NorthWest High School (13501 Richter Farm Rd, Germantown, MD 20874).  Registration forms with detailed information can be downloaded from LMCA website. Please encourage your child to participate.   The deadline for registration is 4/23. Contact Field Day Coordinator Ted Hsieh for more information or questions.

The WMACS is offering a week-long overnight summer camp from 7/21-7/28 for children ages 8-18 at Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland.   Classes include a combination of folk sports, chorus, folk dance, modern dance, Chinese brush painting, arts and crafts, etc.   Enroll by 4/30 to get a discounted rate.  Click here for more details.

Chinese Network Educational Seed Teachers’ Association (Chinese NESTA) will hold “2018 Chinese Karaoke Film Contest”. The films are required to uploaded online and YouTube link must be received by 11:59 pm, April 29, 2018.  Online Voting will be between May 2, 2018 and May 8, 2018.
