Daylight Saving Time starts this Sunday (3/8), please set your clock forward 1 hour.
Due to MSI Soccer tournament at JWMS on 3/22, all language classes and extracurricular activities will be cancelled. There will be no school on 3/22. LMCA admission information session will be rescheduled to 4/19. Final exams will also be rescheduled to 5/31. End-of-Year ceremony will be cancelled this school year.
This Sunday (3/8), due to JWMS facility schedule conflicts, revised schedules for morning language classes are 9:30-10:15, 10:20-11:05, 11:10-11:55 & 12:00-12:45.
The Li-Ming Chinese Academy (LMCA) will hold an admission information session on 4/19 at 10:30 am. The parents of new students are required to attend this information meeting before they submit the admission request (postmarked no later than 5/31). Please share the LMCA short films edited by Yi-Hsin Yan (LMCA Short Film) with your friends and families and check the LMCA website. Chinese Vocabulary Competition will be held on 5/9 at TECRO. The schoolwide competition is 3/8 (Room 203) and 3rd to 12th grade students are encouraged to participate. For questions, please email Yiwen Chen at yiwenchen@verizon.net.
Spring Academic recitals for Zhu-Yin and above grade classes will start from 3/29. Please check “Classroom Activities” section for dates/times and locations.
National Preparation Test for SAT II Subject Mock Test in Chinese will be held on 3/8. Please contact Mr. Jesse Taur if you need to have a make-up test.
The WMACS is offering a week-long overnight summer camp from 7/25-8/1 for children ages 8-18 at Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland. Classes include a combination of folk sports, chorus, folk dance, modern dance, Chinese brush painting, arts and crafts, etc. Enroll by 4/30 to get a discounted rate. Click here for more details.
