Q. Will LMCA be open in the Fall for in-person learning?

A. Yes, LMCA will be open on Sunday from 10:00am -12:30pm for in-person learning for 2021-2022 school year.

Q. What would trigger a shutdown of LMCA?

A. LMCA will not close school or move to virtual learning unless ordered to do so by MCPS or by government officials. 

Q. Will LMCA students, staff, parents, and volunteers be required to get the COVID-19 vaccine?

A.  LMCA encourage all students, staff, parents, and volunteers who are eligible to get COVID-19 vaccine. 

Q. Will masks be required for students, staff and visitors? What happen if a student refuses to wear a mask?  (MCPS Re-Opening Guide FAQs)

A. All students, staff and visitors will be required to wear face-coverings in school building and classroom regardless of vaccination status. This decision is in accordance with MCPS Regulation JFA-RA Students Rights and Responsibilities.  Masks will be provided for any students, staff or visitors who does not have one while in LMCA building. If a student refuses to wear a mask, LMCA administrators will determine appropriate next steps.  

Q. Can parents or visitors enter the school building or cafeteria during school time between 9:30am-12:30pm?

A. School hallways and cafeteria are only open for teachers, students, and volunteers NOT to parents. LMCA encourages the use of outdoor spaces for unmasked recreational and social experiences for parents and visitors. Cafeteria or hallways are not open for public use.  

Q. What are the drop-off and pick-up guidelines?  

A. LMCA strongly encourages everyone to drop-off and pick-up to minimize the direct contact with others.
